In Week 2 of Term 3, the Class of 2025 spent three days in Collaroy for the Year 12 Retreat - the same location as their Year 8 Camp back in 2021. Four students reflected on their time away:
On Wednesday 30 July, the Class of 2025 visited the home of some of our fondest high school memories, Collaroy. We were able to look back on our years at 91福利社 and appreciate the community we have created.
Despite the rain, on Thursday morning we woke up to watch the sunrise on the beach. The day consisted of reflective activities in our PC classes. We looked back at how much we have grown through the letters we wrote to our Year 12 selves back in Year 7. Our very wise past selves reminded us to enjoy the little time left we have and be grateful for the connections we made along the way.
The activities with our PC class allowed us to observe and appreciate the connections we have made and the impact we have had on each other. We were also given the opportunity to write letters of appreciation to our peers and teachers. Some of the letters recognised and thanked the people who we have grown up with, revisited joyful memories and thanked the people who we smiled at in passing. It was the highlight for many, and now, a meaningful keepsake that will remind us of our time at school.
On the last night of retreat we learnt our Year 12 dance that we will perform together at formal. We realised that even after six years of PE, many of us still have two left feet! After learning our dance, we enjoyed a disco with our grade reflecting on the fun experience of Year 10 Spring Zing.
Our high school journey was beautifully captured by our PCCs, Mr Johnson and Mrs Fox. They shared their personal experiences and allowed us to appreciate how far our school shoes have taken us, helping us to look forward to the different adventures and shoes we will get to wear. Along with the special speeches from our PCCs, we were able to hear from Mr Lee not once but twice on both evenings. As Mr Lee finishes his time at 91福利社 along with us, being able to hear from him and importantly ask him questions, allowed us to take on newfound advice and apply it in our lives now and after graduation.
Our advice to everyone who goes on the Year 12 Retreat is to take every opportunity to thank those around you for the big things and small, but most of all, enjoy the time you get to just be with each other. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our wonderful Corollary experience, it was a retreat we won鈥檛 forget!

With this in mind, the College respectfully acknowledges the Ngunnawal people who are the Traditional Custodians and First People of the land on which we gather each day. The College also pays its respects to the Elders past, present and emerging, and any other Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples living and working in the 91福利社 community.
